Players can use any of the main weapons in Halo Infinite on a firing range. The Tutorial puts the player through a story-driven combat exercise that teaches basic Halo Infinite skills. This part of gameplay will not be random. This means you know before playing whether you will be in a 4vs4 or a 12vs12 style game. Arena battles have a team of four playing against another team of four players. Game modes can be grouped into two categories, Arena and Big Team Battle (BTB). The outcome of each game impacts a player’s rank. These playlists focus on more competitive and skill-testing experiences. Participating in Ranked playlists means that your results will be tracked over time over time. Ranked playlists always mention rank in their title. Social playlists do not affect your rank. Social games sometimes feature unusual or non-competitive game modes. Most games are social, providing casual games for players of all levels.
You cannot complete Challenges with Custom games and they do not contribute to Battle Pass progress. If you want to play a specific game, play a Custom Game with friends. When you press Play from the Multiplayer screen you will be randomly matchmade into one of the games listed. Each game combines a game mode, which defines rules and victory conditions and a map. When you select a type of multiplayer playlist you can view the Game list and see what sort of games are available.
Playlists are like music playlists set to shuffle and play one song. When you select Multiplayer, you will see several multiplayer playlists. Play against and with other people in a wide variety of maps and modes through online matchmaking. Halo Infinite Campaign can be purchased or accessed as part of an Xbox Game Pass membership.
